BAMBOO is a modular system for outdoor lighting that uses solar energy and sustainable materials and technologies.
Designed by Francesco Sartor for his undergraduate degree at University Iuav of Venice, this project received a special Mention at the Lucky Strike T. Designer Award 2009.
BAMBOO uses the Sphelar photovoltaic technology of Kyosemi Company (Japan), a modular system and a limited number of simple components to follow the demands of environmental sustainability.
The Lucky Strike T. Designer Award is one of the most important design award and it’s organized by Raymond Loewy Foundation Italy.
The V edition of this award involved over 200 students and, in addition to the winner, have been awarded 10 honorable mentions.
The selected works will be on display until 17 March at Spazio Risonanze in Rome.
